Western Stevedoring announces corporate and operations management changes
Move comes after acquisition of Squamish Terminals...

Following the recent announcement of Western Stevedoring's purchase of Squamish Terminals Ltd. effective May 10, 2018, a number of corporate and operations management changes have been made to strengthen the team as they manage multiple business units while continuing to provide the utmost in efficient customer service and cargo care.

Kim Stegeman–Lowe, VP Finance, Administration and Strategy, Western Group

Kim will transition from President, Squamish Terminals to the role of Vice President Finance, Administration and Strategy, Western Group providing additional resources in the management of the Group overall.  Kim brings depth and breadth to the team as a seasoned professional with more than twenty years of senior leadership and cross-industry experience.  During her ten years with Squamish Terminals she has held the role of President, was a member of the Board of Directors, Vice President, Administration and Manager, Marketing & Administration.  Prior to Squamish Terminals, Kim held senior roles within the hospitality and tourism industry and holds a Certified Professional Accountant designation from the University of Victoria. 

Kelly Williams, Vice President, Terminal and Stevedoring Services

Kelly joined Western in October 2017 as Vice President, Operations.  Effective immediately Kelly’s title changes to Vice President, Terminals and Stevedoring to better align with the scope of his responsibilities as it relates to the delivery of terminal and stevedoring services to our clients while supporting the organization’s growth and expansion initiatives. 

Russ Peters, General Manager, Lynnterm & Squamish Terminals

In this expanded role, Russ will oversee the operations of both Lynnterm and Squamish Terminals and supports our commitment to provide greater service options to our customers through cargo consolidation optimization at both the Lynnterm and Squamish facilities.  Russ has held the position of Terminal Manager, Lynnterm since joining the Company in 2013 following 40 years of association with Western through his varied career with Seaboard International Shipping & Seaboard International Terminals. 

Paul Morris, Terminal Manager, Squamish Terminals

We are pleased to announce that Paul Morris has been promoted to Terminal Manager, Squamish Terminals and is responsible for meeting all of the operational and customer service requirements for the facility.  Paul joined Western as Cargo/Operations Coordinator in 2006 and has transitioned through the terminal Superintendent role and more recently trained as a Ship Superintendent.  Paul’s capacity to learn and accept new responsibility and challenge has positioned him for this new and exciting opportunity.
