Industry in action: Chamber of Shipping of British Columbia's Transportation and Pilot Committee

By BCShippingNews 08 September 2015
Behind the scenes...with Dave Roels

Photographer Dave Roels got an opportunity to capture industry stakeholders working together to ensure safe and efficient shipping in British Columbia. The Chamber of Shipping of British Columbia's Transportation and Pilot Committee is representative of those companies who are critical to the smooth operations of our waterfront. From ship owners and agents, like Empire Shipping Agency, Westward Shipping and Evergreen Shipping, to representatives from port authorities like Port Metro Vancouver, Prince Rupert Port Authority and Nanaimo Port Authority, to harbor towage companies like Saam Smit Towage Canada and Seaspan, and, of course, pilotage representatives, the COS' Transportation and Pilot Committee is an important vehicle for identifying, discussing and resolving issues for the shipping community.
