Reception at Pinnacle Hotel in North Vancouver enjoyed strong attendance

The Association of BC Marine Industries hosted their first Networking Reception for 2017 at the Pinnacle Hotel in North Vancouver. The event, sponsored by Seaspan, was well attended by local shipping industry stakeholders. Members welcomed new Executive Director, Darlene Hyde who outlined additional upcoming events (including the next reception scheduled for April 6 in Victoria) and initiatives that would be undertaken over the next few months. Guests also heard from Tim Page, Vice President of ABCMI and Vice President, Government Relations, Seaspan Shipyards, as well as Alex Rueben from the Industrial Marine Training and Applied Research Centre. Rueben noted that a number of changes were underway for IMTARC, including the merging with Camosun College.
